About

Naldja was born near Mandora Station. Naldja's Mother was pregnant and went out walking and hunting for goanna after work one day and she was born at the well called Naldje. Naldja is named after the well. Naldja's daddy had four wives, two pairs of sisters. One pair of sisters was Mary Meribida and Violet Mandijalu (Violet is Naldja's Mother). Naldja's father was a stockman and her mother worked in the house at the station and Naldja grew up at the station.

When Naldja was a young woman she went to Tardon Mission near Geraldton and had eight children. She lived there for almost a decade and then came back to leGrange mission (Bidyadanga) and saw all of her family. She was very happy to see everyone.
