Details of Bertha Linty

About

Bertha grew up on Wallal Station with her parents. She travelled around the Great Sandy Desert country as a young woman. She came to Bidyadanga for a meeting and never left. Her husband had passed away at this time. "Ilyarra is my birth country and my mother and fathers country. It has lots of tali (sand dunes) it is a special place for me. Lots of people camped here because it has water and lots of mayi (bushfoods). On one side is a warla (mud flat) which foods with milk water when it rains."
