This painting is of mabel's country - darragyn Country in Springvale. mabel has painted the spot where her brother Rusty Peters was born.
"That's my conutry. My brother was born on this hill where this little creek comes down round station way. That's the place he was born. We used to walk through that gap looking for kangaroo. My mother been take me there to get sugarbag too. The river at the top goes to the station way and the river at the bottom forks and one way goes to the station".
