Patrick has painted a water course that starts high in the ranges (top side of the painting) near Red Butte and flows all the way down to the Ord River. This is Texas country, where Patrick grew up, working on the station. The painting shows Ngarrgaroon Conutry and Murine Country, all part of the place where Ptrick grew up. He rode the area on horseback when he was young man chasing wild cattle, which is why he knows it so well.
