There is a ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) story for this place. A man went walking, looking for his wife, he looked everywhere but couldn't find her. He was looking for the tracks of another man who had taken his wife. She had a new born baby. They walked for a while and the man said to her, 'you have tothrow that baby away, chuck it down here'. They kept going and made a creek as they went to the aest. The first husband was following them. He found the baby but he had died. He kept following the tracks, he found them and killed them.
