Nowgarlwin is the blackfella name of this place. nowgarlwin means frog. This place is known for the place where the brown frogs bury them selves in the snad.
Patrick's family group used to live and work on Texas Downs Station aand go on holiday to Purnululu (The Bungle Bungles). "We used to dig for these frogs and cook em up on the coals. It has white meat like the goondarn ing (fish), it tastes good."
