About Ultukunpa, 2002
Ultukunpa is the Honey Grevillea plant that comes to flower usually around November - December in the Central Desert. It is also known by the name of Kaliny-Kalinypa. Ruby Williamson is a senior law woman, living in the Amata community on the Pitjantjatjarra lands. Ruby's skills are based in fostering law and culture, story-telling, hunting, punu - wooden carving, dancing and painting. Ruby has been painting at the arts centre for the last couople of years. The honey-grevillea is a central theme around the majority of her paintings.
