These are the limestone hills of Magumbarrun on Alice Downs Station. The hills lie on either side of the horse track to Moola Boola and Springvale Station. There also used to be a mustering camp there in earlier times. Gordon was born on Alice Downs Station and worked there for much of his life as a stockman.
