About Rai
This Ilma represents the spirit child, Rai. The spirit child wanders around the land looking for a family and waiting to be reborn again. The top of the Illma shows the childs head, with two checks on either side. Roy says 'Can't say what the round one is, don't know either'. The spirit child is sitting with it's legs open and its arms folded. Its knees up and its head in its hands. It sings a song about being sad and lonely, about the sun and the eyes going down, about wanting to dance and play and be active looking around for it's mummy.
