About Kudjarnal Site
This work by the artist concerns a major patrimoiety ceremony of a sacred and secret nature called 'Mardayin'. Much of the meaning of the iconograpghy in the painting is not in the domain of public knowledge and so cannot be explained here in detail.

The painting also refers to a site, Kudjarnngal, which is an important ceremonial place for Kuninjku people. Kudjarnngal is also a place where people collect delek - white pigment.
