SoldAbout Purnululu
That one Purnululu - Bungle Bungle. Patrick Mung Mung says. He has painted his grandfather and great grandfather's country."That's all that sandy hill country with green grasses and the old people used to live there in the old days like a village" he says.
Nawgarlwin is the blackfella name of this place. Nawgarlwin means frog. This place is known as the place where the brown frogs bury themselves in the sand.
Patrick's family group who used to live and work on Texas Downs Station would go on holiday to Purnululu.
"We used to dig for these frogs and cook em up on the coals. It has white meat like the goondarning (fish), it tastes good."
