Marika Mung has painted her father's country. Marika's father and painting mentor is renowned Warmun artist Beerbee Mungnari. Beerbee says, "Round this Duncan Highway, that's all limestone, all the way to Ben Yard. Really Ben Country, up with the Puppy Dog Bore, near Springs Creek. That's in Rosewood Country. "This is my country. I grew up in Rosewood. That's all limestone. But she (Marika) painted in our way."
