About Kapitu Kapitu (water to water)
Ngipi paints with intimate knowledge of her country where she was born near Patjarr. Often she depicts her Tjukurrpa (stories) naming the various rockholes of her journeys as a young woman, travelling from one to the other kapitu kapitu (water to water). Every rockhole has its particular Tjukurrpa.
