About Mamaku Ngura
Ngayuku mamaku ngura (my father's country). I was born at this place. My family would walk all over this country in search of food and water in the early days, before there were motor cars and communities. This country is called Aloysius. These are the travelling tracks to the rockholes. The rockholes we would travel to are Inurantja, Tjilpulta, Mapantji, Pulkali, Yalili, Ultultjara, Iwarara, Pukara, Anumarapiti, Punuwara and Atanga. Iritjita (in the early days) Anangu tjuta ninti pulka (the people had great knowledge) for the country, for the plants and animals, the places where the water would be and the times to find wild foods. Anangu tjuta kukaku munu maiku ankupai (people still gohunting and collecting bush foods).
