In the Tjukurrpa or Dreamtime a band of travelling women came from Kunakulu and were desperately looking for water. After a long time they found this soakage in low-lying country. The spirit of these women still lives on at this place and is contacted via rituals and ceremonies of which the artist is one of the chief custodians. This is women's country and one of their law places.
