                                                    The song for this work refers to Roys father being out at sea, with no land in sight and listening to the sound of the waves.  The smaller outside half crescents are  where the waves roll next to the running current, the waves break away, and starts to splash. The middle waves are the ones that break on the open see, the The longer piece is the waves as it breaks on a sand break and the circles are the ones when in quiet water the movement of water makes swirls.
