Sammy Lyons Pitjantjatjarra, b. 1958

Sammy was born in Pukatja (Ernabella) and grew up with his family on Musgrave Park Station before it was returned to Aṉangu and became Amata.

He has three children, Michael, Rachel and Megan. Sammy paints his Ngurra (his homeland) - his father’s and Mother’s country with thick bold white paint in lacework-like patterning.
