Also known as long bums. Pirana are found in the mangroves. They are usually lightly toasted over hot coals and eaten. The flesh turns bright green when ready and is high in iron. The consumption of too many piranga can result in diarrhoea. Piranga can be eaten uncooked and are a good hungover cure.
