Jane has painted the ancestral snake hole, Kalyuyanku, in the centre of the painting. In the old times when it was hot and there was no rain people would go to snake hole and ask for water - the snake was a rain maker. He would turn the soak water into a vast lake. The other two circles represent Pangkapi and Kinyu, two significant sites of Jane's family. This is Jane's grandfather's country near Kunawarritji along the Canning Stock Route.
