Whiskey has painted Arrernte Country. As a you man Whiskey worked across the Central Desert as a 'Cowboy' - mustering cattle and breaking in horses for station owners. After working up in that country he became homesick and so came back to his Ngura (country) on the APY lands in SA. Whiskey says this is not a Tjukurpa ( Dreaming) story in this painting, it is just him remembering the place where he used to work. He remembers there was alot of good tucker in that country and men and woman would hunt for rabbits and other bush meats.
