This painting is a representation of the rockholes and country of Wirrwul, west of Patjarr community, in the Gibson Desert. This work is significant as it serves as documentation of this important site in the cast landscape of the Gibson Desert, culturally rich and powerful places for the Patjarr people, immortalising and maintaining them in the living memory for many more years to come. Wirrwul was Nola's late husband's country and he gave her permission to paint it for years to come.
