Melissa has painted some of her Grandfather's country and story around Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay). The central circle is the lake, and the U shapes surrounding is the different skin groups sittng around and having a big Law meetng. The black represents the men, Tjampitjin, Tjangala, Tjapanangka and Tjapaltjarri. The yellow represents the women, Nampitjin, Nanaga, Napanangka and Napaltjarri. The interconnectng lines are the kiliki (creeks) which flow into the river, each creek belong to a certain skin goup which connects with the lake. This is an important story for keeping Law and Culture strong. Melissa is the Granddaughter of renowned artist Sunfly Tjampitjin.
