In this painting Marie tells the story about "Some animals find warm place to stay during cold weather. Goannas dig a hole make big room and deep inside to keep warm. They don't go outside until winter is over. Other animals stay in caves. Snakes find an old hole goannas left . Python don't sleep during winter in the morning python go lay around in the sun to keep warm and hunt for food. Rest of animals stay inside. Emu, kangaroo, turkey stay in warm grass outside until midday and go out. Roughtails, black goanna and lizards don't sleep during winter. Aboriginal call it Marlyartu. Means never get up to go toilet and to eat food they sleep for a long time."
