I painted this from Rocky Lookout on my niece's block. When you go to the rise there's a good lookout. When I drove to the top I can see all the places with big stories from when I was growing up on country. The bore where my mother and father worked is just behind the hill to the left. Chewnkey where my parents lived and worked before that is down to the right. It was good to sit there and paint how it really looks as I think about those stories.
