Jimmy and Angie have painted Purkitji, Sturt Creek. This is Angie's country. The circles represent significant sites around this country. Some of their names are Partapilyi, Tiwa, Purkitji and Lake Lupu. The top and middle site on the left hand side are the Massacre Site and Sturt Creek Station. The top right site holds a very important tjukurrpa (creation/dreaming) story for Angie. A big snake rose out of a rock there, and swam down Purkitji (Sturt Creek). This is Angie's story, where she began. The snake, the rock it came out of and this country is both a part of her and is her.

Angie says Purkitji country is a good place for hunting and fishing. This place is very good for Pinyani (water lillies). To get the water lily you have to swim under water dig at the roots and collect the plant. Angie says that Pinyani is sweet and juicy and it tastes like apples and it’s the culture that her Tja Tja (grandmother), Nungurrayi, taught her as she grew her up.
