Lorraine depicts country from her childhood memories- as she walked the significant sites with her immediate family. Here she depicts people sitting at significant sites with digging sticks ready to collect mai (bush foods). Lorraine speaks fondly of holiday times when her parents would collect her from the mission school and they would ‘go bush’ collecting all manner of traditional foods and visiting significant sites.
