I sat at the top of the hill, on my country near my nieces at Rocky lookout. I had to drive up and over the hill to get to this good view. I painted this landscape as I was sitting looking at it but then added the cowboys and cattle from memory. Thinking back to the olden days when I used to drive the cattle along this old track to Broome. It was hard work, you would be droving for days up and down over the hills along the old road. Camping at night keeping an eye on the bullocks might be 900 or more making sure they didn't wander off. This was before they had the cattle trucks. The road is just a track now.
