Rosalind’s mother and grandmother were famous Ngangkari’s (traditional healers) in the western country of the APY Lands. Rosalind spent her childhood walking Country with her family learning about her Yankunytjatjara culture and traditional Anangu life. Rosalind paints the rockholes and creeks of the rugged APY Lands, connecting the Country between her home at Iwantja and her extended family in Amata. Rosalind says; "I learnt to paint from watching my mum. Many of my family members are artists. I enjoy making paintings about my Country and culture, and I love working with all the women in the art centre - it is a busy place!"
