This painting relates to the salt lake claypan site of Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay), north west of the Kintore community. A group of ancestral women camped at this site to hold ceremonies relating to Wilkinkarra after travelling through the Kintore area. As they travelled the women gathered a variety of bush foods including pura or bush tomato from the shrub Solanum chippendalei, and kampurarrpa or desert raisin from the small shrub Solanum centrale. The circles in the work depict the bush foods and also the soakage waters visited by the women as they travelled. This is the artist's father's country.
