This is a Ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) story about two young men. The young men were camping near a waterhole with a group of old women. The old women found jumidill (eggs from anthills), which they cooked and dried in the sun. They told the young men not to touch or eat the jumidill while they went walkabout (hunting). The young men watched a line of ants carrying some eggs. One of them picked up an egg and ate it. He told the other that it tasted sweet and said "let's see where the ant got it from". They followed the ant trail to to an anthill where the eggs were. They ate all of the eggs and as they did so an owl (dumbun) flew down to them.
They chased the owl and stoned him dead. They threw the owl in the air and he disappeared. When they looked up the young men saw a white cloud. Suddenly swirling wind, rain and hail stones came and all sorts of animals started falling from the sky. The young men ran to a tree and hung on to it. Killbung the lizard tried to help them by leading them to a limestone hill called Minjurrl, but it was too late. Bizale, another lizard started whipping his tail which created a waterhole and he kept whipping the young men until they fell into the waterhole and drowned. The country then turned pink so the old women knew what had happened. They sat down and cried.
Dulluwin is the name of the waterhole in which the young men were drowned. The waterhole lies on Texas Downs Station and you can only get there by foot. This story was told to Charlene by her Gangai (grandmother) Betty Carrington and her Gangai Winnie Budberria.
