Anna paints her mothers country Pinkalarta, the home where both her mother Alma Webou and her grandmother grew up. It is located in the Great Sandy Desert near Joanna Springs on the Anna Plains station. Her work gives an aerial view of the landscape, showing the mayi (bush food) and the jila (living water). Anna’s mother Alma is a part of the Yulparija people who were forced to leave their home when the water began to dry up. The Yulaprija people new home in the coastal town of Bidyadanga.
