Unique water-drawn print on paper “This rock hole is like a mirror — sky looking down, moon shining in. People come here, sit together, tell stories, share knowledge. That’s how we keep our culture strong.” — Desmond Woodforde Using high-pressure water as his drawing tool, Woodforde creates direct, one-off prints. The circle reflects both the physical rock hole and the gathering it invites — a place of connection between land, sky, people, and story. Desmond Woodforde is a founding member of the Mimili Maku Arts men’s collective, a group dedicated to cultural leadership, intergenerational learning, and the continuation of Anangu men’s practice on the APY Lands.
