Each winter heavy rains immerse the landscape of the APY Lands, sometimes causing flooding and creating water catchments and tjukula (rock holes.) After these rains, small and vibrantly colourful flowers carpet the vast regions of red desert country, transforming the dry landscape into a decorative and vibrant palette of mauves, greens, blues and yellows.

Renowned for meticulous and vibrant depictions of Putipulawa, Dianne Robinson harnesses the painting medium to present highly detailed and multi layered artworks. Dianne has worked for many years at Iwantja Arts, and has held exhibitions nationally.
