Ian Rictor is a senior Spinifex Man who lived a traditional nomadic life throughout the Spinifex Lands until he and his immediate family 'walked in' to Tjuntjunthara Community in 1986 making one of the 'Last of the Nomads'. Here Ian has depicted the significant site of Tuwan, a place he knows intimately and has custodial responsibility for through birthright and paternal links. As such he is accepted as the authority on the Tjilpu Tjuta Tjukurpa (Many Birds Creation Line) that holds there.
