Kata Ala is my country near Irrunytju in Western Australia. Tjukurpa tjuta (there are many creation stories) which cross over close to this place. Minyma mutu mutu, nyii nyii tjuta (the creation story for all the small bird women, zebra finches) and the man wati Nyiiru (from the Seven Sister's Tjukurpa) is close by and Wati Kutjara, the two serpent men from Pukara came here.. At Kata Ala there are three places where we dig to find water just below the surface. I spent a lot of time in this country when I was a child.
