This painting depicts a part of the Minyi Puru (Seven Sisters) narrative. The Minyi Puru story is a very significant thoughout the desert. It is a story of a man pursuing seven sisters across the country. The sisters stop at many different places before flying away to evade the persistant man. This story starts in Roebourne on the west coast of Western Australia, and travels right across the desert.
