This painting depictsa part of the Minyi Puru (Seven Sisters) narrative. The Minyi Puru story is a very significant through out the desert. It is a story of a man pursuing seven sisters across country. The sisters stop at many different places, including Jurntiwa, before flying away to evade the persistent man. The story starts in Roeburne on the west cost of Western Australia, and travels right across the desert.
