Ernabella houses a renowned community run art centre located in the remote APY Lands of South Australia. Founded in 1948, it has become known for its exceptional paintings and ceramics that portray the cultural stories and traditions of the local Anangu people, their stories, lived experiences and Tjukurrpa (Dreaming).
The artists in Ernabella produce artwork that is not only visually stunning but also deeply authentic, representing their connection to country and heritage. The community's artists are highly skilled and celebrated for their ability to capture the beauty and significance of their culture through intricate designs and discerning use of colour, with exceptional expertise in the practices of ceramics and painting.
