Prudence Anderson Pitjanttjatjara. Australian, b. 1988

Prudence was was born in Kalgoorlie, grew up in Irrunytju and belongs to the Pitjantjatjara

language and cultural group. With a young family of her own, Prudence is an emerging artist at

Minyma Kutjara Arts project where she is developing her own style. Prudence's grandfather

was a famous Irrunytju painter and a strong elder in the Irrunytju community. Her mother,

Maisie Nelson and aunty, Maureen Nelson are also painters and they painted together at Art

Centre in Wingellina.
