Madeline Jackson Australian, Ngaanyatjarra, b. 1985

Madeline Jackson is an artist belonging to the Ngaanyatjarra language and cultural group and lives in the remote community of Warburton, WA.

 

Madeline has learned to make Tjanpi through her grandmother, Christine West, as well as from her aunty, Cynthia Burke. Madeline has also attended Tjanpi workshops in the Ngaanyatjarra lands where she has honed in on her beautiful basketry skills and sculpture-making.
