Lady Gordon Kututja, Australian, b. 1960

Born in 1960, Lady Gordon Napanangka is an Aboriginal artist from Balgo Hills in the Kimberley region. She belongs to the Kukatja language group. Lady Gordon paints her father's country, Minna Minna. Minna Minna is situated near Balgo Hills and Lappi Lappi, it is a large salt lake that is an important meeting place for people from all over the region.

Lady grew up in Lajamanu Community and now resides in Balgo Community with her husband Joseph Martin and her children. Lady commenced her career in 2002 and is strongly committed to culture and the telling of her Tjukurrpa. Her works have very strong contemporary elements, dynamic use of colour and dazzling composition. She often combines what seems like a series of stories in one painting – a very quirky touch.
