Gladys is from Fregon and started painting at the arts centre in 2000. Her mother, Kathy

Maringka has encouraged her natural artistic talent and assisted with her development.

Gladys is married and has three children. She divides her busy work schedule between the art

centre and the school, where she works as an Anangu Coordinator.
