Budubun is on Texas Downs station near Horse Creek Road. Betty Carrington says that people used to come here to hunt kangaroo. The men and women would sing the kangaroos and they would run down to this place. Some hunters would herd the kangaroos through the gorge to the gap where the other people were hiding with sticks or tomahawks to kill them as they came through. Minjawarr (bush plum) are plentiful in this country; the fruits are a sought-after bush food for Gija people.
