Wilurara Ananyi : Goin’ Out West: Artworks from Indulkana, APY Lands

The artists featured in Goin' Out West hail from the APY Lands in Central Australia. The artists travel great distances across different borders and language groups to live on the land they have always lived in, attend cultural business and  pursue forms of life and community that require presence and continuity. The paintings that form this exhibition are Goin' Out West too, mirroring the distances the artists travel in their life while capturing the beauty of the land and it's vast stories. Short St Gallery is proud to present artworks by Peter Mungkuri, Betty Chimney, Vicki Cullinans, Betty Muffler, Nellie Coulthard, Alec Baker, Julie Yatjitja, Barney Eric Mungi Kumanmara and outstanding works from Indulkana.
