"Nyangatja minyma tjutangku kuniya ngurini. This is where those ladies were searching for that carpet python". Lennard has painted Kalapa a salt lake close to the community of Tjuntjuntjara holding the Seven Sisters Tjukurpa. Here the sisters are following the tracks of a large carpet python that keeps disappearing underground and then reappearing some distance further. He mentions here other country nearby that he is responsible for including the sites of Kuru Ala, Tjukultjara, Nyuman, Kapi Wiyatjara, Pur-pur and Pirulangka.
Lennard Walker is a senior Pitjantjatjara Law Man form the Great Victoria Desert in remote Western Australia. He was born around 1949 in the area of Tjukultjara and Kuru Ala to the north of the Spinifex claim area. As is custom in Aboriginal law he has strong cultural obligations and responsibilities fro this country even though it is a strong Women's site of the Kungkarangkalpa Tjukurpa, (Known more widely as the Seven Sisters Dreaming). This is an epic songline which traverses much of the Western Desert.
