Wayiyul is a very sacred womens place. Only ladies can visit this place. It belongs to the Seven Sisters -Minyma Tjuta Tjukurpa. It was in this country that the women were travelling when the man Nyiru came upon them. He hit the ladies with a rock. They women looked around for somewhere to hide, but there were no trees only rocks. They made wiltja's (traditional shelters) from the rocks, like Ayres Rock. These standing structures form the rocky outcrops at Wayiyul. These are still here - forever, really one.
